I guess I own a minivan...

Sarah holding the keys to a newly purchased black Honda Odyssey.

As a person who does not plan to have kids, I figured I was safe from minivan life. I haven't owned a car in years preferring human powered or public transportation. But this adventure requires a car. So Erik did as Erik does and researched vehicles with maximum cargo space that would be comfortable and safe on the road. He concluded a Honda Odyssey was the best option.

I didn't want a minivan. I don't feel like a minivan person. I made a poor attempt to pitch some alternatives. But much to my annoyance (in the most loving way one can be annoyed at a person who thoughtfully and meticulously took ownership of a shared task) Erik was right.

So I secured some financing and we went down to Mission Valley in San Diego and drove home a Honda Odyssey. During the test drive the salesperson made an offhanded comment about it being a great family car. I guess this is my life now.
